I just spoke to my friend about using social bookmarks and he raises a good point; What’s the point? I currently have a social media bookmarking tool on my website and it really does not do me any favours what so ever. Does anyone actually use it? Do people even know its there? Maybe the majority of people are just confused and bewildered by what on earth it is. I am interested to hear what other peoples opinions are on this subject as I am considering not bothering having the social bookmarking tool on each blog post.

So, what is the next step? Monitor the traffic levels coming in from social sites and see if it is worth having the bookmarks on your blog/site.

This week was incredible for me. I finally purchased an iPhone (way overdue I know) and since then I have been investing in numerous apps. One of the best apps I like to use (except for Monopoly) is the Wordpress app. It is fantastic – It saves me so much time and effort and just makes everything so much more simple for me. 

I had a couple of problems installing the Wordpress app – My writing options were not enabled which was not allowing the app to install itself. Although I knew how to fix this (within the Wordpress Dashboard) I noticed that there was lots of stuff on forums and blogs with people who were having similar issues. So, for people who are a bit stuck – If you are being presented with an error that reads “XML-RPC Error – Enable in writing-options.php” all you have to do is tick two boxes in your wordress dashboard. Go to ’settings’ and then ‘writing’ and tick the two boxes ‘enable XML RPC writing protocols’. Here is a screenshot, hope this helps! And of course – Go and get the app for your iPhone!!

Today I ’stumbled’ a fantastic website full of excellent resources for Jquery, PHP and MySQL. The site is pretty new and I am hopeful that there will be some really cool and helpful new tutorials on there. They also have the Jquery script for some Apple Jquery that they use on the mac site.

By the way if you are not using Stumble on your Firefox browser I would highly recommend it,  I overlooked it for a long time and now I can’t stop using it! It is a great way of finding cool sites on the net and getting design inspiration..

It has been roughly two months since the new launch of this website and since it’s inception we have been very busy indeed! The new website is always being chopped, changed and tweaked to make it as good as possible and over time I should eventually be left with something that I am completely content with!
